YCM GX85 Makes Its Overseas Debut at AMB 2026
Focused on Semiconductor Equipment Component Machining and Shortlisted for the AMB Award 2026
YCM will exhibit at AMB 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany, from September 15–19 at Hall 10, Booth 10D52. The overseas debut of the GX85 gantry-type 5-axis vertical machining center will be a key highlight, demonstrating how YCM combines 5-axis machining, AI-driven process optimization, and energy-efficient design to support demanding semiconductor equipment components and other complex manufacturing applications.
With more than 70 years of experience in machine tool development and manufacturing, YCM has expanded from standalone machines to 5-axis machining, smart manufacturing, and process integration. For semiconductor equipment components such as vacuum chambers and complex aluminum parts, manufacturers need to manage multi-surface and multi-angle machining while maintaining stable performance over long machining cycles.
The GX85 gantry-type 5-axis vertical machining center features a rigid closed-box gantry structure designed to reduce the effects of thermal and load changes during extended machining. Its wide A-axis tilting range and full 360-degree C-axis rotation allow multi-surface, multi-angle, and complex-contour machining in a single setup, reducing repeated clamping and process transfers.
Beyond its 5-axis machining capability, the GX85 integrates AI-assisted workflow support, warm-up assistance, and smart energy management. AI-driven process optimization can improve operational efficiency by up to 30%, while its energy-efficient design can reduce energy consumption by up to 30%, supporting both productivity and sustainable manufacturing.
The GX85 has also been shortlisted for the AMB Award 2026, highlighting YCM's integrated capabilities in 5-axis machining, smart manufacturing, and energy-efficient machine design.
YCM will also present the RX65 5-axis vertical machining center, designed for multi-surface and multi-angle machining of medium-sized complex parts. Together, the GX85 and RX65 demonstrate YCM’s 5-axis machining capabilities across different part sizes and production requirements.
